Tri Nguyen visits UC Irvine Sigma Pi and says how it is good see how things have changed and how everything is progressively moving into a good direction. Tri Nguyen rushed back in Spring 2009 in a pledge class of 6 people. He took a year off and went on to become an EMT and worked in amubulances. He then went on to Loma Linda University to further advance his opporunities in his knowledge in the health administration. He also then attended medical school in St. George University and has recently just finished. He is planning on going to New York to further his medical occupation. Some of his hardships back as an undergraduate was that he came to colelge naive. He says that he didn't know how to be successful and was the kind of student who usually studied the night before, and always partied. He says that his changing point was when he had a talk with his Big Bro about what he wanted to do after college and his Big Bro told him that he could do whatever he wanted, he just had to put his mind on it and that the only barrier is himself and that all it takes is just courage and commitment. Tri wanted to remind us that we are all Sigma Pi, and that it is not just a fraternity, but a lifestyle.

Kevin Hughes tells current Sigma Pi's that "You will have more fun now than anything after" once "real life" starts hitting them with real jobs, families, bosses, etc. He assures the current undergraduates that their time in college will be the best time of their lives and they should live it to the fullest. Kevin Hughes was renown for partying hard. He also feels like he is a better person than Shaun Soliman and is the one who established the "Kevin Hughes Award" for Orchid Ball which coincidentally was awarded to Shaun. Kevin is an entrepreneur and started his own successful business after college. Kevin also was the Athlete of the Year back in his golden years. He pushes for undergraduates to get to know the Alumni that are in the chapter. Kevin Hughes plans to have a Kevin Hughes Scholarship running by Fall which issues the scholar with $300 to spend on the scholar themselves and for girls.

Brandon Akiyama
Brandon recently graduated last year in 2009. He started rushing for Sigma Pi his first year and his reason was because the Middle Earth housing scene was horrible. He was renowned for the "1819" days in Newport Beach after transferring out of UCI to play football at OCC between his 1st and 3rd year. But, sadly, no one was looking for a 5''5' quarterback! Brandon now works for a real estate company in Newport Beach. Fraternally, he was a 1st Counselor his Junior Year. Currently, he now resides in Newport Shores.
